Is it possible to run L4 missions with a Gila? I have one but I'm a little nervous when it comes to running 150 mil cruisers into battleships :/ Any fitting suggestions would be appreciated :D

Whenever I approach a planet, or view it in planetary view, the surface of the planet just shows up black. When I'm warping by a planet I can see the textures perfectly, just whenever I get close it goes black. Can anyone offer any insight?
